Thanks for your input. Yes, I agree, if we had a job guarantee as MMTers advocate, there would be much less need for a UBI. However, as I have written before [1] [2], I think a JG has massive practical and administrative problems of its own. Until those can be resolved, I think a properly structured UBI would be an improvement over out current system.
